Aye, but you are forgetting @Scrungee - we are dealing with Super Boris and his sidekick Super Matt and together they will swoop in to our rescue.... that, and the reporting of uptake data will be provided by the government who have already demonstrated their ability with spreadsheets....

It's not members of The Government, but the likes of Civil Servants doing that.

When working as consultants to a Local Authority, often we'd be under pressure from their Chief Officers to change our figures to what they wanted them to be, and on refusal they'd ask for a copy of our spreadsheet to be emailed to them.

Knowing how information we'd previously provided had been changed in their reports to Committees, we'd copy and paste everything into a new spreadsheet as values, so there were no formulae for them to fiddle around with.

"Germany has said it deliberately did not move too quickly to boost confidence it will work."

Sounds like cowboy contractors who've been secretely filmed in a customers roofspace fixing a problem in a few minutes, then hanging around up there for another hour or so to make it look like a big job.

That is questionable:dunno:, as even the Manufacturers are very uncertain about the after effects regarding when full immunity will happen and how even long it will last. The efficacy is another matter as that is based on reasonable sized trials and time so that figure is a lot firmer.:cat-kittyandsmiley::coffee:

Six weeks was being used a while ago, but in the past week I've seen it change to 7 weeks for full maximum immunity and one week for commencement of immunity, but I wouldn't be surprised if it changed again.

                Vaccine arriving in UK today.

In the words of Professor VT:

The train is at the station and its doors are open. We're in extra time - we can't let the away side win now.

                Marvellous news .

Interesting that German and USA brainiacs are telling the media that the UK have cut corners in approving the vaccine.

                      Reading between the lines:

Germany - we're going to make the UK look bad, because they have left the EU. How dare they take back control of their destiny. The EU approval process is taking longer because we have to get the agreement of all 27 member states before we can make a final decision - but we won't say this - because it could lead to criticism of the EU. We may well have been able to get the vaccine approved earlier if each member acted on their own - but hey we can afford to wait a little longer, the EU project takes centre stage.

USA - the UK are making us look bad. We're also evaluating this vaccine but seem to have been caught with our pants down - it looks like we're taking too long. I'm going to deflect any criticism from the USA and tell everyone that the UK have not done it right.
