Finally get to lay my brother in law to rest tomorrow, it's seemed like an eternity already. I feel for those who may have to wait even longer with the current death rates.

My thoughts are with you and your family @mazambo .:grphg:

:cat-kittyandsmiley:After losing Dad last year, I know how heart breaking it is to have to wait weeks/ mths to finally lay your loved one to rest. It was 4weeks to hold a very small funeral and 14 wks to finally lay him to rest and reunited him with Mum.

When I lost my Dad my world almost fell apart and the only time I could show sorrow was at his funeral where I just screamed out and it seemed everybody looked at me in wonder..Took a long long time to recover in some way...small steps...

I know exactly how you feel Dianne....the sorrow comes in huge waves. Some days are OK ( ish) but other days I still wake up and can't believe that he's gone. He was a big part of my life, especially since Mum passed away very suddenly 14 years ago.

In some ways it's strange, I've probably shown more grief than my wife at the moment, it's kind of a family thing that they don't want to show their emotions , me what's the expression "softer than a tub of tits" that's me:roflol:

I am often driven by music and this song is for the closest friend I am ever going to have that lost her life at 58 years young, she was somebody that cared for everybody...and I loved her so much...We had been friends since we were at infants school...

Hey! it's just coming upto 0100hrs. I'm sitting here at the PC with a tipple and some snacks. I'm playing through Dave Monk's, 'Old Guitar Monkey's list on You Tube. I really enjoy his music, and I admire him a lot. His rendition of. Dances with Wolves, is great. Then his playing of. The girl in your arms is the girl in your dreams, a slow waltz. For me it is nice to, once again listen to music that brings back memories and music that has a good rythmic beat to it. This is good for keeping the left foot tapping.

I have a very wide mixed range of music etc. I often think and drift into my little wonderland world. An artist paints a picture. IMO often telling out what his her thoughts and feelings are. A composer does much the same. I wonder. When like we are doing now. Might we be telling others something about ourselves, due to the type of music we enjoy. Continue to play and enjoy.

I watched Joe Bidens inauguration speech, inspiring and well delivered. One very sobering fact he stated was that America has had more deaths due to covid than the 418,000 sadly lost during 3 years of World War 2. And we still have Covid deniers who think this is some kind of world government scam.
