Well done quitting, @CanadianLori! :blue thumb: It was really hard for me the first two attempts (this is my third go and was incredibly easy). I first stopped for a year and a half and took up vaping, but started again when they stopped making my favourite vape juice, there was nothing anywhere as nice available on the market, as far as I was concerned. The second time I quit for 8 months, but I started again when my Mum was diagnosed with lung cancer. All through the periods when I didn't smoke I vaped almost constantly, but of course it's still quite damaging to your lungs so I've gradually reduced that too. I vape 15 minutes max a day now and steadily decreasing. :)

I love your accommodating and non-judgemental attitude to your guests who smoke! :love30: There's nothing more exhausting than a hypercritical person and I sometimes think the self-righteous whining of militant ex-smokers is a far worse atmospheric pollutant than a bit of cigarette smoke! :heehee:

We only know two people who still smoke, both men, but they only smoke a few whilst here with our permission in the garden,. They always ask first. We provide ashtrays. One is coming to visit this afternoon. We are both ex-smokers.

I provide an ashtray, but all guests must empty their own cigarette ends into the toilet, that's the one thing I refuse to do! :nonofinger::biggrin:

I'm not sure, but I seem to remember being asked, before I got my first covid jab, if I had had a flu Jab within X amount of weeks.

Now they are suggesting giving covid boosters at the same time as flu jabs.

Not sure if that is right, but you can see why some people are dubious.

I was asked quite a few of the usual questions when I had both my jabs, can't remember if one of the questions was regarding the Flu Jab though.

I wasn't asked any questions apart from if I was feeling unwell at the time. Probably because I had it done by my doctor.

I was asked about the flu jab and a list of others when I had my first covid vaccination. Didn't on the second one.

I was due for a shingles jab after my 70th birthday. We put this on hold due to the covid vacc campaign. I think I'll leave it until after this Autumns flu jab and possible booster jab.
Shingles always sounds like something out of a Dickens novel, festering in the slums of Victorian London.

I was asked if I was taking any medication as in blood thinners, I do take Aspirin daily. Apart from that, they just asked if I was left or right handed for the jab.

I didn't know you could get a shingles jab, isn't that connected to having had chickenpox.

Not sure Pete. But you are advised to have it from your 70th birthday. Have you missed 10 notifications? :heehee:

                            Interesting ONS factoid.

93.6% of adults in the UK have anti bodies either from vaccine or from natural immunity.
