Had my corona virus booster and this year's flu jab on Friday evening, one in each arm. Feeling a bit under the weather today, but not too bad.

We do home tests twice a week, I feel so reassured after finding this "qualification certificate" in the box. It has stamp an all! :dbgrtmb:

Took Mum for her booster and flu jab yesterday. Both at the same time. The booster was Pfizer, the frst 2 jabs were AZ.

Looks like mixing vaccines gives a little extra pep.

OK so it was not that long ago we were being told about variants and how they could get into the country and avoid the vaccine.
It now appears most of the world is now open and people can come here and you can go there.
What has changed so dramatically, or were we yet again being told a load of old pony.

Its all of a sudden like nothing has happened.

A guy on the beeb was talking about Covid travel restrictions. He just said "We exported the Alpha variant" - we being the UK. The Alpha variant was first identified in the UK - it doesn't mean it originated from the UK - it was probably all over the world before we identified it. Someone needs to point this out to the beeb - this is why we shifted away from naming variants after the place where they were first identified.

What a nincompoop - this is the quality of journalism from the bbc - worth every penny of the licence fee.

Just had the old flu jab - didn't hurt a bit. First time flu jab for me - flu is going to be rampant this year as we were all isloating last Winter - so don't forget to get yours .

I was going to get the flu jab this year in any case - as I'm getting on a bit now :old:.

I may get the flue jab when I get old. I've not had my annual shower so it keeps the flue away - or is it keeping flue carriers away :heehee:

What's the general advice regarding having a booster jab.
I thought it was originally started only for those on the endangered species list, but now on the BBC they were saying it's not been going well and cases in hospital are rising.

Even calling for some restrictions to come back.

Lockdown by Christmas, I wonder, at the least probably only allowed to meet up outside again.
I think if the health people had it their way all Christmas's should be like that any way.

They started booster shots here on Monday n conjunction with the flu shot. They have done the nursing homes and over 80s now working on over 65s.

Yes they have been doing boosters over here for a while but they are saying people are not coming forward.
I think that is NHS code for, were not doing very well.
