If school children can work out that blackcurrant juice tests positive on a lateral flow test, why are so many adults trusting them?

Day 6 is the first to exceed 1 million.

But it doesn't double daily nor will it increase like that, look back at the previous 18 months and it peters out before dipping down again. No need to panic yet.

If you see the test being done by your vet and then seeing a defra vet, the defra vet takes longer to do, they measure all lumps and check every animal, but your vet will run the animal though a crush (slowly) and just look at the neck for any lumps then stop and measure any, defra vet all day job, your vet 3/4 hours :th scifD36: this is for the 2nd visit to farm when they check the jabs for any rections

Apparently it's a pretty lousy way of trying to work out if an animal has TB.
But after killing the animal I would have thought it would have at least be easier.
DFRA killed the alpaca because they said they assumed it had TB, the owner said it didn't have TB.
DEFA are now saying the postmortem was inconclusive.
I think we can all draw our own conclusions on that one.

Mark Drakeduck is looking to review Welsh covid rules on a weekly basis. Perhaps when he sees that nowt's happening he'll come to his senses and lift all restrictions.

I've seen this done a few times on the TV, and I get the impression its something similar to when I was a kid and they were doing TB jabs.
You had a kind of injection on your forearm and they waited a week or so for a reaction.
I dont think mine reacted and so I was sent off for a lung Xray, which came back clear, but I never had the jab as it was assumed I didn't need it.

Had I been a cow, (or alpaca) I would probably have got slaughtered.;)

Is there anyone willing to risk their life on the outcome of a PCR test?
Only once they start culling on the results of this very, "inconclusive" test it could turn out fun.

More info. coming out of South Africa - Omicron is still shown to have symptoms similar to flu. - if you are vaccinated - with far, far fewer people in hospital compared to Delta.

Others think that Omicron is the best thing to happen - it will deliver a dose of natural vaccination to those who are vaccine hesitant and boost those who have already been vaccinated.

Nature - or divine intervention - it looks like we've been very fortunate with Omicron.

Viruses usually take this pattern - they become increasingly transmissible but at the same time less deadly - Spanish Flu being a case in point.

The slightly confusing thing here is that there are claims here in the UK that the vaccines are not effective against it, but the boss of Pfizer says it is but only after a third dose (not as though he has any vested interest, is there?) meanwhile there is a further suggestion saying that the vaccines are the reason folks aren't getting ill, whilst the doctor that discovered Omnicon is saying that it is extremely mild with symptoms similar to a common cold and is nothing to panic about. I say slightly confusing, it is in truth utterly batsh*t crazy.
