As was proved here in Scotland the Hollywood version was correct. The delegates at the Nike conference were infected and home to their respective countries before anyone realised they were infected. With air travel, an infection in one country can be spread around the world in a matter of hours, even before the infector even knows they are sick.

        Well yes that is so.
I've never seen the Hollywood version, but what you say is pretty obvious in the modern world, but it still don't get China off the hook as I seem to think it was well established there before they told the rest of the world about it.
Maybe they should have watched the film.

China is exceptionally insular and guarded, it would be a shock if they admitted anything detrimental to the Party as soon as they found out about it.
I find the country quite terrifying frankly.

I should actually qualify that a bit. The people are good, the food likewise, there's huge intellect, culture and thinking... It's the direction the government choose I can't get my head around. Perhaps an East / West thing.

I read "Tiger Head, Snake Tails: China today, how it got there and why it has to change" by Jonathan Fenby. Very interesting but rather concerning.

Mark - you're having a laugh - surely? Test aren't free any more - no one is going to pay for a test when they have the sniffles. It's time to accept reality and start worrying about other health issues. How are you going to deal with the rampant flu season this year?

The First Minister urged everyone to continue to take measures to reduce the spread of coronavirus by following a set of simple steps to protect one another and keep Wales safe.

These include self-isolating if ill or testing positive for Covid-19; wearing a face covering in crowded indoor places, meeting outdoors wherever possible; keeping indoor areas well ventilated and washing hands regularly.

Mark Drakeford said: “The pandemic isn’t over but we are seeing encouraging signs the recent high levels of infections across Wales are falling.

I'm sorry Eluned - no one is going to take you up on this offer. By the time September rolls up - everyone will have already been boosted through natural infection. When it comes to being jabbed - I'm afraid the good will has run out.

People in Wales aged over 65, care home residents, frontline health, social care workers and all adults in a clinical risk group will be offered a Covid booster jab this autumn.

Finally - all covid restrictions lifted in Wales from this Monday.

Don't want to panic anybody - but there has been some initial research that suggests that 'all cause mortality' in those who took the MRNA vaccine (Pfizer and Moderna) is markedly higher than those who were given the AZ jab. The boffins are looking into whether there is a causal link now.

                  I'm just saying - so don't panic...

Wasn't it Macron who publicly stated that AZ was quasi effective - and as a result people shunned it in preference for the MRNA vaccines?
