      It was covered but had the cold weather and wind blasting over it so I'm guessing it's sulking about that.
      Not sure how many fronds to remove but it seems ready to shoot new ones. I'll repot and shove in the ground and maybe dig up next winter. It's too bloody spiky to be moving around too much

        I wouldn't remove any fronds that are still showing some green.
        If its starting to grow new fronds already that is pretty unusual this early I think.

                I've removed all fronds bar the topmost and repotted. After bleeding a bit... There's healthy looking roots which is good although the green has become more brown.
                I will see what happens

                  Repotted mine a few days ago, it came through the winter OK with a little heat in the greenhouse to keep it frost free

                      Nothing like the size of yours, but l did notice Morrisons had lots of these last week for £15 they were a decent size.
                      How they can grow them and then ship them for those prices is beyond me.

                        Looking back, I have had Cy since 2007 and have always kept him in a smallish pot, first a bucket, to restrict size.
