Just been reading the reviews :snork:
What a mixed bag! I was going to upgrade and use this on my rear, but I am quite happy with mine :) it's ..... ok in my opinion, for what I need, which is just 'basic'.

Some good stuff on this thread... I,m looking at the E-Prance at the moment, I like the size of it and the way it could nicely tuck behind the rear view mirror

There was a programme on the telly last night (can't remember what it was called or what Channel it was on but you can catch up with it on iplayer:snork:)and this programme was all about accidents caught on these dash cams which were used by lorry and car drivers and also motorbike riders with them attached to their helmets and it was quiet frightening to see the accidents from a camera eye view and it did make me wonder whether it is worth even climbing into a car when you see what idiots are on the roads:snork:

I have had a cam in the car for two years now and its been most useful on several occasions not only my use but other people's incidents as well and helped me track down the idiot who run a coin all the way along my car, wouldn't be without now,its paid for itself 30 times over:smile::blue thumb:

That's on my short list too Robert, I see it recommended on the Mini car forum, I like the idea of hiding it behind the mirror also.

On yet another car forum some guy has come up with a method of fixing behind the rear view mirror using a product called Sugru, which might work depending on how much room you have in your car (I don't have a BMW but like this idea):

            The way I see it..
I have a cam.. If I make a mistake I will hold my hands up. After all we decent folk would wouldn't we ?

If someone else makes a mistake and they don't hold up their hands cos after all not all out there are decent then the camera can be relied on to assist the holding up of hands ..

My camera is the 0803 , It is installed discreetly and comes on with the ignition , Goes of when the ignition does. I don't even notice its there.

Sadly we live in a world where safeguards are a good idea..:smile::smile:

Just been reading some more reviews and found this useful tip: "when installing behind the rear view mirror it needs to be within the sweep of the windscreen wipers" :blue thumb:

I think you will need two Ian. I've been thinking about the rear view as well, maybe a step to far for me as I don't want too many wires and I'm not sure if I've got a 12v supply in the back, to begin with I'll see how I get on with just the front facing camera.

Good find Ian, do they use two separate camera units though? I should imagine one mounted just in the front will have it's view obscured to the rear. Have you got a link to it please?
