I'm hoping to plant one of these this year & would like any tips on the plants care as I understand that they prfer a sheltered plocation & need protection from hard frosts. I've seen them growing quite happily in Nymans garden in Sussex but of course do not know what protection they give them in the winter.

I had one for a few years.
    It eventually faded away.

I think they like acid soil and good moisture, neither of which I really have.

Just tried it on the chance it might do well enough with my rhody and a couple of camelias.
