Solved Does anyone know what seeds these are?

    Found them in a wooded area.. Are they seeds? If so of what and how would one germinate them?

    They maybe Acorns from the Oak tree.....

      Just plant directly in the ground a couple of inches deep, or put in a pot of about 5 ins in diameter with some multipurpose compost, again 2 ins deep.

      Leave outside but won't see much until next spring.

        Mice might have them unless covered with mesh or placed out of their reach.

        They seem to want to eat anything like that sown in our garden, but they also bury hazelnuts in opened bags of compost!

          Agree with others.
          These are the seeds..or acorns from Quercus...common name Oak tree.
          Fun to try growing but the trees grow huge.

            Will give it a try, not expecting to grow a massive oak but it's fun watching the process.

            Yes we gets lots of wildlife in our garden including squirrels who love to make holes in the lawn, maybe I'll pot them indoors and see what happens.
