Does anyone know what this shrub is please?

    I wonder if anyone can identify a shrub for me please. It is about 10ft high in a friends garden with small yellow flowers [rather like a "ladyslipper"] which become the papery lanterns containing the seeds; the foliage is rather like maidenhair fern only larger. I want to try growing the seeds.

    It sounds to me like Genista, which is a type of Broom:dbgrtmb:
