Went in morrisons a couple of days ago, never seen them before, but they were selling whole haddock, not anymore that 14ins long.
They were so small, once you cut the head and tail off, there was probably only 6ins of fish that was edible.

Didn't buy them and wont, apart from buying a massive head that is no use I just wonder if its legal to actually land haddock that size?

They often have similar with Mackerel only the same size as Sardines, I dont buy those either.

Is it really, just seems so small, not worth buying.

It's a waste of what would be a chubby specimen given another year in the sea.

I agree, but I have seen pictures of them throwing dead fish back because they are too small to land.
Its all crazy really, but I dont suppose much will change.

If morrisons dont sell them the seagulls will get them.

We used to buy Hake at half the price of cod or haddock off the quay side when down in Cornwall.
                Not any more drat..
All the cooking programmes have show cased hake and sea bream etc so anything reasonably edible is high priced. I like a chubby fillet of sea trout but it's only as a rare treat now.
Here's me talking about the price of fish lol. I'll have to get over it.

There will most likely be one or two changes coming soon to our fishing industry and UK waters and i don't think our continental friends will like it.

I can remember the cod wars with Iceland and look how well they turned out for UK fishing.

I'd rather give peace a chance so i hope a common sense deal can be agreed.
We really don't need any more trouble on top of everything else.

All sounds a bit fishy to me.
