          Looks like one, i'll have a closer look next time i'm there, should have got a close up of the flowers but there were a couple sitting on the bench right next to it.

            Not Vipers bugloss the native Echium vulgare, but Echium pinniana, regularly gets up to 10 foot in the westcountry. One of my favourite plants and the bees love it.

                  I can identify that place as Langmoor Gardens, Lyme Regis! I think I might have taken a pic of them last Autumn when they were a lot smaller.

                  Have a look in the garden of The Old Coastguard Cottages at Minehead along the seafront going towards the harbour.
