Eden Project in Cornwall

Hi all. Have any of you ever been to the Eden Project in Cornwall, it's absolutely magnificent:

Yep. My wife and I have been a total of 4 times. On our second visit to Cornwall we took our new son who was 7 months old at the time, and he loved it too, so clearly its not just for the more mature among us

I can't praise it highly enough, not just for what it is, which is mindblowingly impressive enough, but have you read about how it came into being? Two ordinary blokes blagged it basically. They had a vision but no means to realise it, so they told all sorts of fibs to all sorts of people and convinced very rich people to invest so they could buy the site and afford to start construction, but they didn't have planning permission. Again the campaigned and blagged and using sheer determination and ingenuity, they got the approval. Then more blagging and more investment etc etc until eventually it came into being. Two ordinary blokes achieved it against all odds, and look what it has become. Its not just an amazing thing, their researchers and mentors now go all over the world, learning new ways to do things from ordinary people in other parts of the world, and teaching them new ways to get the most out of their limited resources. Fantastic.
