My Bosch belt sander has given up the ghost after 30+ years of use, if the new one (another Bosch) arriving tomorrow, is anything like the old one....... it'll probably see out my life!

Hi Pete, thought about makita, which I like a lot but why change a winning combination? 30+ years for a sander in regular use is good to say the least, my Bosch drill/driver is still going strong (ok, had to replace the batteries this year) and my planer still works fine..... all over 20 years old. Wish I could buy British!

New sander arrived yesterday, Not the one I ordered..... Higher spec one sent!!!

The 4 packs of 3 sanding belts turned out to be 4 packs of 10!

It's got a plug on it, it works, so I'm a happy chappy :bigthumb:

I must admit to being a bit of a fan of Bosch stuff, even extending to their domestic appliances - having said that though, my impact wrench is a Ryobi and is a cracker of a thing. My neighbour was so impressed with it when I bought it, he went and bought one himself.

Anyway, I digress, I would bet that your new one is going to be a cracker with the Bosch badge on it.
