Well, the kids and I wanted to get OH a swing seat for Father's Day - some great deals on right now. But....the big problem here is wind - and we know that it wouldn't likely make it through the wind we get up here unless we tucked it away in a corner somewhere. We wanted it down by the pool, patio, chimnea - basically the main area of the garden that we use all summer long.

So......silly me, thinks we'll go for a hammock instead. We used to love the hammock back home - our house backed onto a ravine filled with very tall trees - mostly evergreen. After a night shift, on a nice day, I'd grab a sleeping bag and a pillow, and come out and sleep in the hammock strung in the trees and fall asleep with the background noise of water running and birds singing. But....we don't have any tall strong trees here. So I knew we'd have to concrete in some posts. then I thought that two posts just concreted in would look silly when the hammock was put away/not inuse. So it has now turned into a four post gazebo type thing....(made out of round posts). I've got to go and pick up some grape vines this morning at the garden centre, as I'm ready to put those in at either end. HOPEFULLY - it will be a nice little 'getaway' in the back garden for him when finished and shaded by the grape vines as they grow. A little windchime in the corner to keep the birds away......fingers crossed!

And.....can any man here tell me - when a woman picks up a power tool.....why does the man always come running over to 'help out' and want to take over the project? Kind of hard to get him to do that without telling him what it is he's building!!!!!!! Had to 'take back the project' - and the kids and I were allowed to finish it!
