My beautiful mum passed away 06th January last year. I couldn't go to visit her in hospital prior to her passing, and have always beat myself up and literally made myself ill because of this reason. I have cried numerous times and almost daily in the shower apologising to her for not having the balls to go to her, and asked her to forgive me. Then a couple of months ago I started humming this tune, I had never heard of it before ...I clean for my in laws because my mum in law is disabled and both nearing 80 years old. This one day my mother in law said to me what is that song you are constantly humming (I must have been humming it terribly that she couldn't understand it) I said I am not sure but I cant get it out of my head, she said I was always humming it(I didnt realise) I said I keep singing take me to your heart again but dont know the rest so I hum, but I didnt know where I had heard it. She knows the struggle I have had regarding my mum and said you need to find out what it is because it may be a message from your mum. I mentioned it to my cousin who is really techy, she said ok record your humming and send me it, I did and she came back with two songs (one foreign) but the other was this...I listened and sobbed my heart out, this was the song I had been humming for so long, I googled the lyrics and was blown away, I showed my hubby and mother in law too and both said it was my mum letting me know there was nothing to forgive and that she loved me. ....also may be a coincidence but this lady released this the year my mum was born

 

@Telmadee that's a shame but don't worry about it, your mum probably understood why you didn't see her.

I wasn't with my mum because she lived far away from me and I can't drive so i rely on hubby to take me places and he had to go to work.

Hubby's mother died in the local hospital and hubby was seeing her all the time, but she died when nobody was there, it just was in between the visits.

 

Thank you so much @Logan and I'm sorry to hear about yours and your hubby's mums too. No one was with my mum. When she actually passed bless her and it kills me to think she died alone and scared too x

I'm sure i've head that tune before, but not that song as such.
I cant help thinking its an Italian piece of music, but not sure why.

 

Hiya pete, whatever my cousin played my humming tune into it came up with the gracie fields one and this one, could it be this one you know? Sorry I dont know how old you are so I dont mean to insult you if you srent old enough to remember it.... for the record I didnt know neither of them I'm not old to remember.....for some reason when I click link it comes up with gracie fields....but its edith piaf la vie en rose
