Favourite songs from way back when.

Like a bit of wishbone ash

 

We still listen to Top of the Pops repeats of bits and pieces on Freesat...unsure of the channel as I cannot be trusted with the remote control for some reason...(clothes channels ) I was married in the September of 1967 as My Late Dad would not allow us to be married before I was 19 years old..so 1 week after my birthday......Please respect your elders.....

I can't remember wishbone ash on top of the pops. I started a few years ago to like them,hubby's very surprised that i like them but only some songs got the cd called Argus.

 

I was born in 1957 and got married to my first husband when i was 17, big mistake he was a loser don't know why i married him, but that's another story for another thread.

 

My Parents were 19 and 22 years of age when they married so that is why 19 was acceptable.......

 

I do not recall them Mr.W says he remembers them...I enjoyed listening anyway. I do believe sometimes my life is run around songs...I was meant to be in music. 2 problems though I can't sing and my talents with instruments has not materialised so far..pretty good at school on the recorder...we all enjoy music I think and our tastes are often varied Logan.

 

I can sing and was influenced by Kathy Kurby and was going to be a singer but didn't know how to get into it.

 

Logan you agree that I cannot sing and play instruments...speechless.. well no that is impossible but joking aside music can be so emotionally at times, but then when your cross you can turn up the volume and straight away it is calming to me...better than shouting...

 

early 70's He was rather lovely in his Youth...say nothing more....

 

still 70's his earlier ones not keen...
not such a great singer as a good performer
and stage star...I think...

I have her CD the complete collection and enjoy Your The One as loud as possible and me singing worse than a cat screaming...soundproof walls here so no disruption to others...So now you tell me you can sing..see you never know what folks can do...Well it is never too late and I for one would like to listen. I can see it was a hard road to get into..these days it is done by different routes with many more doors opening...

Good to see a mention of Wishbone Ash. I think Argus is probably their best album I love the twin lead guitar sound. Saw them live at Portsmouth Guildhall in the early 70s.
