        I was reminded of this old folk song when I was cutting new edges in my lawns as the old ones seemed to have disappeared.

        Where have all the edges gone? :whistle: :heehee:

        The song was written in 1955 by Pete Seeger and inspired by some words he read in the book "And Quiet Flows The Don" by Mikhail Sholokhov

        He only wrote three verses to the song and sang it at a college. Just after that, one of the college counsellors, Joe Hickerson, wrote two more verses and Pete gives him 20% of the royalties from it.

        It has been recorded by over 100 well known singers and in over 30 languages and has been inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame

          When I used to go to Saturday morning pictures for kids they used to play this before it started.
