Fertilizing before compost ready?

I am planning to start a New Zealand compost system very soon, however as it will take up to 6 months to be ready what will be the best fertilizer to use until then for my veggie garden? Do I need plant specific ones or is there a general 'miracle grow' type one which is organic?

 

Fish, Blood and Bone, It`s natures general fertiliser. Tell us more about this N Z composting system, please.
