    Hi John,
This is a picture of my Canna I mentioned earlier. I hope it will be in full bloom next week. I hope to be able to enjoy it and let you enjoy it next week. The weather hasn't been extremely bad this week. Just 4 large pots and a rose arch fell down. We saw much worse weather before. IMG_20200821_175659.jpg

It's a big commitment then but, like you say, lovely on a sunny day. When we've been to Spain I've always admired the bananas in people's gardens - also how big and fabulous they get those poisonous bell shaped flowers (datura?) kind of dripping over the roads, similar to how fuschia can be in this country.

Thanks black orchid. Its een in better condition . I've been waiting almost ten weeks for a new shed to be delivered. Due to co vid theres a shortage of wood and labour with people not working .Theres things all over the garden that belong in the shed and my greenhouse is full of stuff too.

I think that some people are in a way shocked at times, when perhaps seeing some strange plant. Top marks for growing exotics, but even converting our garden, it can still be a tiny gem in a wilderness.

Everything comes to he who waits. Lovely. My canna that i grew from seed last year has flowered and the purple canna like yours has 2 new buds ready to flower. All i need now is the wind to come and destroy them 20200903_190849.jpg 20200903_190855.jpg
