          :roflol: :rofllol::roflol:

          What a great way to start my day!!! (I'm off to get my hair done and in terms of dislike, it's up there with clothes shopping and going to the dentist :th scifD36: )

          I shall be thinking of this while I'm in the chair of doom ... it will keep me sane.

              When I had my salon you'd have been OK :thumbsup: - but keeping sane, I don't know :scratch: :roflol:
              Enjoying yourself was a basic rule for staff and clients. Insulting each other was the rule of the day. Being PC wasn't allowed but you had to be sensitive to peoples' feelings. I had the best hairdressers working for me (all trained by me) and none of them ever left to go to another salon. Clients had to be listened to and everything that we did had to be explained.

                Oh it's not the staff, or the end result, or even the banter inbetween, shiney ... it's once I sit in that chair, I feel ... vulnerable, I suppose. Completely irrational; and, I'm one of *the* most easy going customers. I trust my stylist explicitly: he's the professional, not me; so, he gets to do what he wants :snork:

                Sounds like your business ethics were a credit to your staff, your clients and the profession, shiney. :dbgrtmb:

                Yes! These were clips from filming his fishing show. He must have carried several changes of clothes around just in case. I doubt I would have said Sunny Jim if that snake had landed on ME either!!!

                Thanks :dbgrtmb:. It was great fun being at work and being with my staff. Although I've been retired 11 years I still see most of them regularly and Mrs S and myself are going out to lunch with some of them soon. We're all good friends and they still come to me with their problems or if they need help with anything :). This year I've even helped two of them find cheaper mortgages :thumbsup:
