Well I am getting new fencing soon and some new tellis so will be looking for some clematis to grow up them. I've never grown them before so am really looking forward to it.:yho: This thread will be really helpful to help me choose which I would like, but its not going to be easy, as they are all so lovely its going to be difficult to pick just a few.:help: 02

    Hello
I decided to plant Clematis in my very small garden. got to go up...I chose the ones depicted as Vigorous which was a good choice I have Mme Julia Correvon tis only a single but in 2 years has reached well up into my crab apple tree.
If you go to www.taylorsclematis.co.uk they are specialists and very helpful in advising what to put where, also were in peak condition when the arrived by post I have about 9 in all and they are a sight when in flower main thing to watch is slugs they will take of the newly emerging shoots I have cut of tops and bottoms of water bottles that sorts them... Good luck

I am a bit confused, :scratch:i have had a MISS BATEMAN CLEMATIS planted next to a roddie bush for 2 years now, and this year it had such a lot of good size buds on it, but they are all getting the droop , as i say it has been planted for some time so its not that it isnt planted deep enough, and i have always put slug pellets around it so that it does not get snail damage .

it is not turning black it is just the buds wilting, someone told me the other day that nothing will grow under a roddie bush is that true?

and it has been watered very well also, so i am unsure what is happening , i thought that clamatis wilt only happened after planting it not deep enough yet last year it did not wilt.

i am really worried that it might effect my other clamatis that i have got round the garden :(

i have found out that my MISS BATEMAN has only suffered from one stem breaking , and this has made the buds higher up die, but no worries the other stems are ok and the buds are now starting to open up . so i havent lost her after all , and i dont think she minds being by a roddie bush:gnthb:
