And some alcoholic cheese [1] (a bargain @ £2.13/Kg)





[1] At the self scan checkout at Tesco I couldn't buy that stuff without age verification! I would have to eat nearly 2 Kg of the stuff just to ingest a 25ml shot of Rum. Please snack responsibly

It wasn't for me. My wife is mad on cheese. I was looking for wendsleydale with apricot but stilton with rum and raisons was all there was. She likes it whatever it is so well done me.

If you're donating some of that for the party, the booze goes on the table to the right and the food goes on the buffet table to the left

 

Agree, not tried it before, would have got more, but I'm the only one who eats it and I've got 600g plus various other cheeses (Brie, Mexicana, smoked, etc.), shame that Stilton doesn't freeze well, especially with additions, otherwise I'd have bought all 20 or so packets.

I've also got Stilton & Apricot, only bought 1 as non-alcoholic.



Also 6p double cream, 90% off scones, half price salmon reduced even further, half price beer (Fursty Ferret & Old Speckled Hen), smoked salmon from Lidl when it was around £2/pack, 90% off salad stuff, cakes, 37p Xmas puds, 10p cartons of Brandy sauce, 75% off Quorn cocktail sausages, etc.

We're doing Xmas and New Year on the cheap, but still having a good time and enjoying a lovely spread.
