Hi there Randy , lovely wee chick you got there , I have ten eggs under a hen at the mo ,due abt next wed roughly . Also got eighteen duck eggs in the incubator due in three wks so fingers crossed here lol.

we're keeping it no matter which sex it is, mum. it's not blood related to my girls, so it doesnt matter if its a boy

 

That's great to hear. I've tried keeping cockerels, but, unfortunately I'm just not quite rural enough (and it was incompatible with dh's shifts); so, I content myself with the hens and a small flock of ducks (from which I get .... ducklings! )

 

my hubby could sleep through an earthquake and we live opposite a farm which has a cockerel anyway, so I don't think little Peeps/Keith will make much difference

You may well be right. My auntie in law, who used to sex chickens for a living, had a look at Peeps and thinks it's a Cockerel as well! Keith Lemon it is, then.
