    Aw little Peep Peep would make a gorgeous cake decoration:dbgrtmb:....your right about the mices Randy....my lasses are cracking mousers:chicken:....
    Sorry Zig:oops:....i did try to rescue a little mouse from my girls but i was actually scared of them...the chooks i mean...they really meant buisness....they can be quite evil:sofa:

        Hi there Randy , lovely wee chick you got there , I have ten eggs under a hen at the mo ,due abt next wed roughly . Also got eighteen duck eggs in the incubator due in three wks so fingers crossed here lol.

                  Something about the look, doesn't seem "henny"; plus the comb development for one so young. Of course, I could be way off mark :noidea:

                    we're keeping it no matter which sex it is, mum. it's not blood related to my girls, so it doesnt matter if its a boy

                      That's great to hear. I've tried keeping cockerels, but, unfortunately I'm just not quite rural enough (and it was incompatible with dh's shifts); so, I content myself with the hens and a small flock of ducks (from which I get .... ducklings! :dancy: )

                      my hubby could sleep through an earthquake :heehee: and we live opposite a farm which has a cockerel anyway, so I don't think little Peeps/Keith will make much difference

                        You may well be right. My auntie in law, who used to sex chickens for a living, had a look at Peeps and thinks it's a Cockerel as well! Keith Lemon it is, then. :dbgrtmb:
