In the bottom picture, Jamie, the plants, with circular rosettes, are Sempervivums.
In the picture above them are yellow flowering Saxifrages.

I'd swear my agaves are still growing in the middle of winter. Is that possible?? I'm going to call the bigger one, Buster. :) :)

        There're two types there, Java.

Phyllostachys aureosulcata 'Aureocaulis' & Phyllostachys vivax aureocaulis.

KS, do you have to pinch yourself sometime to remind yourself it's real and it's all your own hard work? It is so incredible.

              Thanks, Moyra & Fern4,

The front garden is in a real mess now, 'cos these are going in. Pics of them being painted in my garage.

The mystery deepens, Loli. :) :) Uprights have gone up, each sunk into a cubic metre of concrete. Took AGES digging the two holes. :( :( A local fabrication shop made up the ironwork for me. I'll let people guess the purpose of them. :) :)
