Got a funny taste in my mouth...........

    after I noticed a worm in my pea:mad: whats that all about then? that was'nt part of my plan!

    I was munchin away while planting beetroot from ziggy's cunning holding bed/tyre, when I noticed I little catapiller eating the pea I was gonna eat next:mad: it was a super tiny thing, I noticed the little hole it had eaten in the shuk(sp) before I noticed what had made the hole:rolleyespink:

    I dont yet know the name of my new worste enamy:what: I'll get my camara and see if I can find another, but I do know that whatever its latern name is? that you can kill them with a hammer:dbgrtmb:

    Thanks ziggy, that looks like my problem, I found a couple more but cant get a foto close up coz its out of focus, reading about the moth it seems they are prob coming from the sweatpeas growing wild on waistland out the back, next year I'll cover them, here's about where the crop is.....

    Recon I should just start picking and inspecting every pea lmao:cry3:I'm NOT composting the pods tho like it said you could, I'm gonna blitz them into soup then bring to the boil, do you recon I could diluite that and use it as the makings of a liquid feed? (with added protiens:heehee:)

    Ah, clearly hardcore insect munchers:love30: alas I'm not so brave yet:heehee:
    but fish eat land animals, then you eat the fish:what: and I bet you've eaten a catarpiller or two in you time, you might as well go to the top of the food chain n eat steak:yahoo:

    Neither do we, we eat "Beef Cattle"

    Thank you, I ended up checking every pea, I found a few critters but not many, I binned the whole pod when I found one, then sliced n checked the mange tout, and left to soak in salt water for an hour, then washed them off.....

    then dried and froze them:yess: I'll try them on the kids first:heehee: see if they can find any worms:heehee:
