Morning everyone! Beautiful day again here in the Lincolnshire Wolds.

In my ongoing quest for plant ID's, could anyone tell me what this is? @Sheal @Silver surfer IMG_20151016_085605.jpg IMG_20151016_085618.jpg IMG_20151016_085632.jpg

Never mind Sheal. Thanks for your reply. How are you today? Been a lovely fine day again. Been leaf collecting today. Never ending task. Loads of trees and loads more to come Thankless task really but the boss says it has to be done.............I hate 'im, lol. Been sticking pins in his model all day, ha. On a cheerier note, despite the sudden chill and Autumn leaves etc, hanging baskets still hanging on for grim death. Catch you later. 20151020_122058.jpg

I'm well thanks Rob, I hope you are too. :) I only have one tree in my garden so leaf collecting isn't an issue, it can be hard on the back though when there's a lot to clear.

The basket is looking good, mine are now full of winter pansies and hopefully they'll stay there. High winds are on the way unfortunately.

High winds I can live with. Blow the blooming leaves away lol. Last ID request might be a Choisya I'm told. Perhaps Choisya x dewitteana. I give in??? I'll never get the hang of this nomenclature lark.

There's no picture here for the ID Rob?

Oh yes you will! :) When I joined GC four years or so ago, my plant and names knowledge was next to non-existent. Within two years I amazed myself by naming an unusual plant at a local garden I was visiting. Somebody had asked me what it was and I was really chuffed that I knew the answer. :) Keep an eye on the 'What's looking good' thread and the 'Identification' forum, they will help you pick things up and you'll soon be wandering around nurseries naming plants.

I'm now starting to work on my tree knowledge, particularly when they are leafless during winter. Shape and bark are really the only things to go on.
