It sounds odd with grapes rosa, but I guess it is no different than when I make a salad with left-over chicken, tinned mandarine oranges or peaches and mayonnaise and have a piece of toast with it. Shall try your recipe next time, thanks!

Oh, and it's tasty seasoned with curry too!

Ye, gads, how did I miss those beautiful pics of the Grapes and the Passion, I ask ????

We are both quite speechless with your crop so early in the year ... and b-in-l you look like the happiest grape harvester I've ever seen ... [IMG]

Jams, compotes, grape jellies with chilli, liquers Sis ??????? We're well impressed (actually he's very jealous) [IMG] xx

Thank you Sis from both of us to both of you. xx

Our grapes are always ripe about mid-August because they are in the Wintergarten.

I've never made grape jelly with chilli, but Hubby said that that is an idea for when we make up the first batch this year. I used lime last year and it was excellent.

We got a little over 3 1/2 liters, this amount will make up a good 12 jars of jelly, the 1 lb size. I have frozen it in the correct portions and shall make up as needed.

Shall not make grape liquere this year, made so much last year, we much prefer the elderberry liquere. Hope to get enough of them this year, and also hope that nobody else discovers the super spot I found last year!

[IMG] Those grapes are fantastic Kedi,I grow them myself but they are not as forward or as uniform as yours. You must be doing everything right,do you feed them?and you also have the all important pruning well sorted.
    Congratulations on a perfect crop.

    Thanks rosa, Sis and roders.

Of course we'll bring a jar down for bil. I'm wondering whether to use a liquid (piri-piri, Tabasco, or something like that) or chopped bits. I have a jar of Jalapenos here, also masses of dried.

roders, Hubby just cuts all back to the main stem after we have harvested everything. As to feeding, he is a great fan of this stuff and uses it on everything -

Sorry that it is only in German but I think you will know what it is either by the name or by the contents, which are listed.

Over here everyone actually just calls it "Blaukorn" - bluecorn/blue pellets.

Sis, I put some Chilli/Jalapeno jellies up in the recipe section recently for Kathy3 and I think Marley is going to have a go also.

Poor roders, I sent him a link and it wasn't geo-targetted so he got it in Portuguese and now you're sendig him one in German!

Sis, I've made Jalapeno jelly quite often, Dad sent me the recipe years ago. This is the one we always put on a cream cheese sandwich.

I've also made a hot jelly using tomato juice and ready-made chilli sauce.
