fitted a solar window opener to the greenhouse earlier, which saves on the legs.......no need to worry about opening and closing the windows now.

also checked on the lettuce, betroots and spring onions too...along with the first few shoots from the cucumber plant

I am not as sophisticated as that I just have some wooden planters I built and cover them with twin wall polycarbonate sheets, I have seedling pushing through of lettuce, carrot and beetroot.
        Question....
The beetroot has some multiple seedlings from each seed, do I just pull out the excess or should I sort of tease them out gently hoping I do not disturb the remaining one?

@Scudo Beetroot seed is different to many other seeds in that it is a cluster of seeds containing several seeds, so you can get multiple seedlings from each seed. What I'd do is pinch the surplus seedlings off as close to soil level as I could. I tend not to bother (lazy) and get one good sized beet and a number of very small ones from each seed.
To avoid this look for seed varieties with either mono or monogerm in the name or description as these have been bred to produce single seedlings from each seed.

Nice to have a greenhouse. Solar window sounds like a good idea.
I'm going to have one this summer, built by a local builder ... looking forward to it, but it will probably be filled with cacti.

My 'greenhouses' at the moment are two perspex shelters at the sides of the 'garage' (now a shed)
I've got propagators in them where I've sown seeds, and lots of cuttings soon to be taken.

I used to sow beetroot in cell trays for planting out in the ground.
The idea is that you put two or three seeds in each cell.
You don't need to thin multiple seeds because if they have enough room they just push one another away.
Then you don't really thin them until some are big enough to eat.
