[IMG] Hi all.I have a large green house & although I have windows on auto openers as well as a couple that have to be opened manually & of course the door I have very poor air ciculation in a couple of areas. :( I do not have power to it & cannot. I really don't want to add any more windows so was wondering if any of you new of a fan that was solar powered   I grow so many different plants & I know the air is not moving around enough.Any ideas on this topic gratefully recieved :D No luck googling so far

Not sure on the fan but if you replace a low window (or 2 if its a huge greenhouse) with a louvre type window...this will generate a flow of air with the auto vents above

[IMG] Hi Steve, I know what you are saying but I don't really have the option of any more windows low down, :( not even Louvres, hence trying to locate the fan. Ho hum :(

    Couple of ideas............

    1) A few solar fans on ebay........

    http://search.ebay.co.uk/solar-fan_W0QQfkrZ1QQfnuZ1QQfromZR8

    2) Or perhaps you could use an old cooling fan
(12v) from a computer case or computer power supply and an old car battery that could be recharged as needed

As a glazier, I have fitted loads of plastic
    circular fans into greenhouses.
They do seem to work as clients recommend
it to their friends, and call me in.
Get your local glazier to fit one into a dutch
light pane, it's not something for diy.

[IMG] Hi all, Well the extracter fans might be the way to go would have to fit a few to get the air to move (yes would definately get a professional to fit them) so have been googling & have located a fan in USA have friends there so they cold post it, but it has given me the idea that the computer fans & a leisure battery with a solar charger might be the way. :D :D THANK YOU !!! :D :D Just going to go & google for a charger because I can't lug batteries around. Maybe get a system together yet, will let you know what I turn up Any ideas always welcome [IMG] though!

:D ok now were are cooking, [IMG] [IMG] I am now thinking normal swivel fans, leisure batteries with solar panel 15w with a cotroller (going to look on ebay) & an inverter for the fans. This would give me maximum air flow all around. The temp shouldn't differ so much that way, with maybe the option of an extracter that i could turn on when needed on those sultry days :D what do you think

[IMG] Well, have now found a rechargable generator so am considering that instead of panels. It would give me more flexibility for moving them to different areas  Shall do more research first though [IMG]

no room for you by the end of this project lol....
how big is your greenhouse ? louvre on opposite of door is always a good solution, if it's not a big greenhouse and opening vents at top both sides, that should be sufficient to circulate air.

Hi Ladybird, [IMG] Well it's a massive oldish 30'er on a brick base, :D windows & louvres & doors yes, But my problem is in certain areas the air just isn't circulating & its causing problems, hence wanting to stir it around then it can be changed by the thru draught  if that makes sense [IMG] I am now persueing a rechargable generator then not so much room taken up & no lugging heavy batteries either. [IMG] I'll let you know, otherwise all input welcome :D
