            I am a little nervous I must admit... Even more so because I was listening to this song


            whilst fishing for some update on Mayan news: middle of the song I
            decide to open a world zones website and I hear this knocking coming from the nothing (note that the volume was quite high)...and It just didn't occur to me that it was from the website...pheew

            According to one Mayan I spoke to (they haven't all disappeared :snork: ) his ancestors went on to a higher plane and are looking down on us fools!


            As Victoria said about the 10% - if you'll believe that!!!!! Apart from the nutters that do believe the non 'prediction' I can't believe that 10% of the UK population have ever heard about it!!! Another piece of nonsense put out by the BBC :rolleyespink:

            Clueless is correct :love30::blue thumb:. The Mayans never predicted the end of the world. They never got around to predicting past this year because it was too far in the future (maybe a bit shortsighted of them :heehee:) .

            They had two different, distinct, ways of counting and calculating the ephemeris and those two systems happened to coincide this year. They carved all the mathematical details on a big chunk of stone and couldn't be bothered to carry on with a new set of calculations - simples! :)

            Their maths was very sophisticated and they had calculated a year to be 365.24 days.

            And even played a form of basketball - where they played league matches with the captain of the winning team getting his head chopped off (so the locals say - but that may be to promote tourism!!) as a great honour to the gods :hate-shocked:
