I put up a thread similar to this each year.

November is Will Aid month when you can get a professional will made for you quite cheaply and help charities at the same time.

How often have you thought about making a will but thought it's too expensive so you'll leave it for a while. There are always adverts on the TV about getting your will made, usually from insurance companies, but you can get it done by a local solicitor for £95 during November.

The amount of £95 is the suggested donation to charity. If you can't even afford that amount you give less. I've used the service for some of the people that I look after and the solicitors have been more than happy to accept less.

It's a charity that very many solicitors help and give their time for nothing. They make nothing at all out of it and all the donation goes to a group of charities that Will Aid support.

You can read more about it and find out which of your local solicitors are involved, here:-

Can't you just use the Will form available free on the internet ? If your affairs are simple and you are going to leave all your worldly goods equally to child A and B ?

It's called forward thinking,Wee Tam, as they make their money charging exorbitant prices for handling your estate when you've shuffled off your mortal coil:dunno::heehee:

I made my Will out some years ago with no reason to change it, apart from the fact that I'm enjoying spending the Kids inheritance.:heehee::loll:
