Help! My potted Olive Tree (Olea Europea) is dying...

    I'll give the little guy a rest from water then. Feels cruel but I can see that my love through water isn't doing it any good. :wallbanging:

    Can anyone explain those weird green leaves that shot out - which look nothing like the other leaves?...:dunno:

    I think it tried to grow, probably a response to the warmth of your house.
    Its obviously been pruned, and pruning often results in very leafy growth, which was what it was going to do, before the roots died, possibly.:smile:

    @pete As I am a beginner I am not versed on what happens when you prune.
    So you think the whole tree was pruned before it came to me?
    And now if the roots are dead - is the plant dead to the point that there is not salvaging?

    It does look like it was pruned before it was sent.
    Personally I would give up on the idea of growing an olive as a house plant.

    Its not something that is likely to work IMO.
