    Hi Lyn,
I wish you all, all the best. All i can offer is to hope there are lots of people there the same age, if so put some music on they wil enjoy. At first to introduce them, then a bit further on. Not at the end. Your dad will enjoy it but prob not after 12ish, i can't! too long for them. you know what's good. you've had loads of great advice. Have a great party for your dad, please let us know how it goes. Tell him from me i wish him 'goodness'.

    cheers

    Food shopping early Saturday morning.
Then up to the hall to set the room , tables chairs decorations etc
Then the food as got to be prepared .
    Hope the D. J turns up. :(
    It all starts at 7.00

    Are we ready?
    I think so
    Am I nervous ? VERY

I am looking forward to it , but worried things will go wrong.
Already got a bad stomach and had nightmares last night.
My head feels like it's in a washing machine trying to remember everything.
Woke with a terrible head ache.
The last count about 125 people are coming.
    Thats if they turn up.
    A bit scary :o

There is so much to to organize and remember . :D
At the moment all I can think about is shouting

Lyn - it's all going to go off nicely. You have planned everything perfectly, nothing is going to go wrong.

Of course you are nervous, I would be too, but once you manage to calm down a bit, you'll be OK. Take a Baldrian/Valerian to help you.

Wish you all a super party, it'd be a laugh if the oldies outdanced the younger generation! Looking forward to hearing about it next week and seeing some pics too.

Take care, big hug and kiss for you and the same for your father. xx

    Well it came and went.
    Thank goodness it's over.
I couldn't relax and was glad when it was all over and I could draw a line under it.
Everyone said they had a great time and my Dad loved it.
He didn't want presents so asked for donations for the Macmillan fund.
    He raised just over £450

    More people arrived than expected.
We (my sister in law and myself ) catered for 125 and at least 180 turned up.
Dad couldn't remember who he had invited. :D
So I spent most of the night in the kitchen making more food.

    It was very hard work.
Started at 8.00 in the morning finished at about midnight.
    Would I do it again.
    Not a chance. :D

Hiya Lyn, I'm glad your dad enjoyed his birthday party, and dos'nt he look dapperin his white suit. I find it real hard to believe he is 80!!!! I would have thought he was much younger than that, and that cake is fantastic. Well done, to you for making his birthday so special.:thumb: 02

    Thanks both.

I just hope he won't want an 81st birthday party on the same scale.:D
But if he did I dare say I'd do it for him.
