Help With Growing Seeds

I only live in a maisonette, with a small courtyard garden which is north facing. I also have a south facing driveway with space for two cars, so do a lot of gardening on that as well.

I am going to indulge you here and from Google Maps is a picture of my front garden.



So the driveway on the right side of the lavender is min.
The front door is my upstairs neighbour, my front door is down the side.
The black car is my upstairs neighbours.
The small window near the front door is where I do my seed growing. The main window is my bedroom.
When this photo was generated by Google, I doubt I owned a pair of secateurs then, as you probably guessed.
