    @Snorky85

    Maybe you could put your videos on Youtube and then add a link?

    Poor Chinny but at least you made her life happy while you had her. I've had buns with malocclusion and they had their front teeth removed. Couldn't this be done with a Chinchilla?

    I could not imagine a life lived without pets. I have had rescue pets for many years. Wherever possible I try to have the old, the sick, the deformed, the ones with behavioural problems. In essence those who are often overlooked. Some of my pets I have rescued myself. I've never considered my pets as just pets, they are so much more. They are my friends and my family. I would rather be with them than with my own kind most of the time. Does depend on the person though :lunapic 130165696578242 5:.

        Ha ha @luciusmaximus you are exactly like me. I much prefer the company of animals lol.

        chich had lots of teeth removed but it is even more difficult than removing rabbit teeth as their jaw is so delicate. If the slightest bit of tooth/root is left in it regrows.

        Will try sort out the videos :)

          Well done @luciusmaximus for taking on the poor cat and giving him a better life and hope you have many happy years together.:blue thumb: It wouldn't do me any good going to those places as I would want to bring them all home with me and would have nightmares about the conditions I have seen them in:sad:

          I was reading the Daily Wail yesterday or somewhere else on the net and there was a photo of a dog which had been tied by all four legs on to the back of a bull.I could read any more as I found it too distressing so not too sure if that was in Spain:sad:

          @Kandy its sick what some "humans" do. I have cried so much over what i have seen and it has affected me quite badly. The poor souls don't deserve it. The sick thing is that they get away with it.

          @luciusmaximus how is Dimitri now? Has he had to go back to the vets after the weekend?

              @Snorky85

              His stomach seems to be settling down now. He sleeps through the night. And the diarrhoea has mostly stopped. Going to keep him on the sensitive stomach diet for awhile. His coat is looking better too. I brush him daily and he does a lot of washing himself too. The bottom picture was taken at the villa. The camera makes him look better than real life. He's beginning to look like a normal cat now.

              How did Bea get on with her bad back? Hope she's ok?

              As you can see he's very comfortable with my bed :heehee:.

                I can see he's becoming a lovely cat. He's so small; he can't be very old.

                  Can't believe the difference in him already. He's looking so much better now and he looks really content. What a different world for him now-he won't be able to believe his luck. I remember our girls slept so much when we first got them-like they could finally relax.

                  Bea got on ok-the vet think its her knee not her back. He thinks it popped out the joint. will see how she gets on-she has a habit of racig around and diving into things as she had run into a door full pelt and was limping so he could be right. Will keep fingers crossed.

                      Vet thought around 3-4 years old. He is actually quite large and very heavy for such a skinny cat. He is gaining weight slowly.

                        Funny thing happened last night. D was on the bed and I decided to give him his daily brush. I must have caught one of the scabs he still has on his neck with the wire side of the brush. The claws came out and he took a swipe at the brush/me. I told him off straight away. He doesn't like being told off and it was the first time I've told him off. He took himself off into the lounge in a big huff :rolleyespink:

                        I carried on reading and about three-quarters of an hour later just as I was thinking about going to sleep he slunk in and crouched down in the corner, didn't jump on the bed. I ignored him and switched off the light. He goes back into the lounge. Around half hour later he creeps back in and makes a show of looking out of the bedroom window ( he's never done this before ). I ignored him, pretended to be asleep. He goes back out. Ten minutes later he's back and jumps up on the bedside table on Roger's side. No response from me so he leaves again. Another ten minutes and then he came thundering down the hallway, leapt onto the bed and stood on my chest ( I had pushed the quilt back as too hot ). He was very heavy but I continued pretending to be asleep, so he put his nose and whiskers very close to my mouth as if he was checking to see if I was breathing. When I didn't move he tried to lie down on my shoulder ending up with his bum on the pillow and his face pushed up against mine as tight as he could get. He hugged me all night, didn't stir until 5.00am:snorky: I suppose it was a cat apology :snorky:

                            Well, I would like to think that's what it was, but I know very little about cat behaviour. Cats are very much uncharted waters for me. I'm still a bit wary of him:redface:.
