homebase houseplants

I bought these 2 houseplats today neither had a proper name nor can I find them in the RHS encyclopedia.
1 looks like it's going to be a tree when it grows up. It has a black stem/trunk has 3 lobed leaves which are irregulaly serated around the edges and has yellow margins(this may be irrelevant)presently about 5 inches tall

2 is a succulant about 2 inches tall and looks like a collection of Shreks ears. What more can I say except does anyone know what they are please?

1. Reminds me of Schefflera elegantissima.
The old name used to be Dizygotheca elegantissima

2. Looks like Crassula ovata cultivar Gollum.

Agree with Ss on both, first was also known as Aralia Elegantissima.
