    Looks like a Tradescantia.

Thanks, do you know the best way to take a cutting from it as my care has caused it to grow rather oddly?

    Hi @Colstar ,

It's a Tradescantia Spathacea . This one isn't a trailing one like the ones commonly called " Wandering Jew " . It grows rosettes of leaves which grow about 12" high.

The way to propagate it is to separate the rosettes leaving a little root on each one.
It's hard to take cuttings as it doesn't really grow much of a stem.

The reason yours has grown oddly is that it desperately needs splitting/dividing and re-potting.

You should get a few nice specimens off it.

Sorry @Mike Allen , Setcreasea Purpurea ( Setcreasea Pallida ) is a trailing plant, not upright with totally different coloured leaves. No green, white/silver or pink..... they're a deep reddish purple colour all over.

Thanks, I'll nip a stem off of it and pop it in some potting compost to see what happens.

My orignal pruning caused it grow rather weirdly!
