Sounds good! You can open the zip a bit when they need ventilation.

That's what I thought @JennyJB and if the plant grows, you can turn the bag up the other way and close the zip a bit to secure it to the pot.

The little interdentate brushes are excellent for cleaning computer keyboards and other small holes and crevices.

        A tip for the lazy
If you empty a freezer bag and it's still clean. Maybe it had peas in it or something. Instead of washing it or dumping it, stuff it back in the freezer empty. It'll be safe to use for something else when you're ready

More bags stuff- I made chicken mince meatballs and as the dough is very soft and sticky, plopped it into a plastic piping bag and made blobs on sheated oven tray.

Mess free, the blobs were perfect albeit not round, and I finally got the tiny size I want to be used in soups, with noodles and so on. :)

Any tips for cleaning the soleplate of an old iron please? I've tried the roll on stick stuff but the grot isn't shifting.

@lizzie27 , I’ve just had the very same problem and after googling it, I used ( quite a few )paracetamols getting rid of the gunk off the bottom of the iron.

The iron has to be on , take the paracetamol and rub it across the affected area. I used up about five tablets as something had badly stained my iron. If you hold the tablet between the ends of your fingers, it’s quite doable, just go carefully. Once the tablet has blackened, turn it round and used a different part of the rim.

I was very dubious when I started but as I saw it was working, I became more confident . I used a tablet until it had worn down and stopped when my fingers were getting too close to the hot iron. I had my iron on a med to high setting. Keep doing it until the area is cleared. It really does work! I was quite impressed.
