So. I have chosen three pieces of prose. Please share your feelings, understandig etc of each.
    Firstly, Deserrata by Max Ehrmann.
Secondly. We have no time to stand and stare...William Henry Davies.
Thirdly. Mary Elizaberth's, Do not stand at my grave and weep.

Look up these poems. Now in your own words and in you own undrestanding. Tell us what you think.

Desiderata is a favourite Mike...sorry I'm not one who is able to analyse poetry /prose ...I just know what I like and don't like.
I do think however that if everyone took time out to regular read this it would make the world a better place and them a better person.
It shows how we can all meet with the challenges of life and be able cope and deal with them in a non confrontational way, and now such events can serve to enrich our lives and being.:)

For me.. 'Desiderata' is more of a good parent's advice letter than poetry..
The second two are both famous and brilliant.
'No time to stand and stare' is very appropriate to todays busy world.
'Do not stand at my grave and weep' is perennially sad but sweet.

What a lovely idea for a thread.
A dear friend has been posting a poem a day on our group forum, I'll see if I can come up with one or two for you.
