How I lurrrrrrrve summer!

As you lovely lot probably know, I work for me sen, and today, it touched 31c, so this afternoon I decided to finish early, not mega early, but just after 3pm.

First thing on the list was homebase, NO!! You judgmental lot, not for plants, but some more gas for the BBQ. Duly purchased, it was carried home in my steed and was promptly connected to the BBQ.

After that, I took a wander around and had a gander at the plants and did a bit of tidying. I brought the washing in that I hung out this morning, checked the time and started to prepare dinner for us all. Tonight's feast was chicken marinated in chilli, olive oil and paprika with a simple salad. All prepped, the chicken went on the barbie, the salad got a drizzling of some aniseed oil and soft drinks were poured. All consumed ( and very nice and tasty although simple it was) the baskets, pots and planters got a feed too, and the border plants got some foliar feed too. I watered the lawn, mrs Al bathed and put to bed the boys, the dog got fed, and now I'm sitting here with the doors wide open, along with the windows, in 23c looking out onto the garden. Mrs Al is making us both a cuppa, probably accompanied with a biccy and a bit of choccy. Simple things............ But oh, are they good things!!!!
