I have today put some small cabbage and cauliflower plants into my garden from pots, unfortunately I think I have not spaced them anywhere near enough, they are approx 6 inches apart which i now believe is too close together.
Should I leave them for a little while so they get used to their new surroundings or re-plant them as soon as possible?

I should shift them now, before their roots get used to the area. Or you could leave them and use the undersized ones first and letting the better ones grow to maturity. It really is up to you. Helpful aint I !:dbgrtmb: Cheers, Tony.

I've been reading a book by the late Geoff Hamilton, who suggests packing veg much closer together than conventional wisdom dictates, but feeding and top dressing extra so that the roots don't need as much space. That's from a book, its not my experience.
