I still have, and use, a wooden spoon I bought when I had my flat. I bought that flat 40 years ago. I'm still here

I think the process for growing/harvesting lentils is a difficult one, because it needs vast areas given to it, and vast amounts of people to do the harvesting/processing. They'd cost a fortune for a tiny amount if they were grown here, so it's only a few countries, usually with plenty of cheap labour, that produce them.

This is how they do it in Canada
They seem to have the cutter bar set very low, probably causes all the dust and one thing is sure you need a flat field, no stones or molehills.

I still have wooden spoons and kitchen utensils from goodness knows when a couple were spares from my mothers kitchen draw and the rest came from an assorted box of kitchen tat from a jumble sale.
Edit I've had them since 1977 when I went to Uni.

I still have the carving fork that was my Mum's. It's mainly used for doing the Ch'mas dinner, if we bother having one, but growing up, we would often have had beef for a Sunday dinner, rather than chicken. I think it's partly why I hate roast beef now - it was always overcooked! My Dad would never have entertained something that looked 'raw'

One place I worked some one made a massive wooden spoon and it hung on the wall in the workshop.
Every once in a while it would get presented to the person who had done their best to stir up a good argument.:roflol:

I still have wooden spoons and chopping block, breadboard etc.
I was once told beech has a slight antiseptic action, not sure if that is true.

I have a long handled wooden spoon so old it's worn down on the left edge, from thousands of pan-stirrings through the years. Someone bought me a new one, but it feels wrong in my hand, so I'm still stirring with my blackened and battered old one. :stirpot:

A lot of people are the same the old worn tool fits your hand best and also is worn to suit how you use them; this even goes for plastic handled ones.

Probably involved somewhere along the line.

I personally find these Mr Universe creatures quite repulsive to look at. Is it just me?

No, they look just as ridiculous as some of the female bodies which we all apparently crave. There's a difference between healthy bodies and lifestyles and excessive lumps and bumps

That made me laugh @Tidemark I'd have thought the easiest solution would to impound the car until the owner paid the fine.

How do you impound it, it could just drive off.
