I love this purple wildflower that grows as a weed round here. When it appears in my garden, I usually let it be, unless it's literally blocking a path. Can anyone tell me what it is please?

EDIT: The pics were not taken in my garden by the way. It's in a neglected driveway nearby.

Thanks, I've just googled purple toadflax and it seems that's the one. Sorry wasn't doubting you it's just my photos weren't that great.

As an aside, some enterprising individual is selling it on eBay at 2 quid a go. It grows everywhere round here. In fact I dug one up and stuck it in a pot to see if I can get it to grow where I want it. Fingers crossed.

Probably one of the most asked about "weeds".

That's nothing. It was on sale in a Garden Centre we went to the other week at £14.99 for admittedly a large potful of it.

Flipping eck. I'm in the wrong line of work. Maybe I need to focus my attention on cultivating plants. 15 quid each for a plant that pops up everywhere round here, that's crazy.

Once you grow it you never get rid of it.
Quite a few plants like that.
I had California poppies naturalised in my garden for a number of years then one cold winter wiped them all out.
Can't seem to get them going again, something must have changed, probably too much shade now days.
