    Our neighbour gave us this plant as she didnt want it, but neither us or her have any idea what it is. Is it an outdoor plant that can go in the garden and how big will it get. Thanks

    It looks like a very healthy Philodendron (Umbrella plant). I have mine outdoors but I think in the UK indoors. Someone more knowledgeable than me on this will come along and advise.

    Leaves like the spokes of a wheel...surely this is Schefflera sp?

        I've heard of some people growing Schefflera outside in the UK.
        Not tried it myself and dont know if it needs to be a specific species rather than the one you see sold as house plants.

        I used to grow them outside .
        They have one in NTS garden in Perth.Scotland
        But I must add these are new ones introduced from ????
        They tend to be very expensive and only available from specialist nurseries such as Crug Farm ..where Sue and Bleddyn brought back seeds from plant hunting trips.
        They are not the old ones that for years have been grown here as indoor house plants.
