    Houttuynia by the looks of it, Nathan.
    Whether it is a plant or a weed is whether you want it in your garden or not and like it or not, as they say :)

    I would check it out online and decide for yourself. It is pretty but can be a bit rampant and can be difficult to get rid of once it starts spreading.

          I'm sorry, there are not that many plants that I detest but this is one. It creeps in from my next door neighbour's garden occasionally and I suddenly see a stem of it in between my things that I like.
          OK, so it isn't that difficult to remove but the odour I find intensley obnoxious and, even as I am typing, I can smell it in my head.

          I have some which keeps popping up in my front garden - at least now I know what it is. I spray it by Roundup when I see it, but it keeps popping up year after year.

          I believe I read at the Eden project that bits of it are edible but I don't know which bits.
