    if you are lucky enough to have a male and female nearby they make enormous edible pine nuts

      Edible nuts is one of the reasons for them becoming endangered in their natural habitat.

        Would hope people would cultivate them then! But apparently they take 30 years to start making seeds. Maybe clones could be faster?

        Anyway, I like the tree, even if its not the best for wildlife. Forests of it are really pretty.

        This garden in Forfar. Scotland had 4 female trees in a tiny space!
