Malvern Hills, lots of smallish yellow flowers. This is its second year and I’ve trained it to make an arch to my pergola and then hopefully it will carry on across the top.

Desdemona, first rose to flower for me.

My favourite, I think, Eustacia Vye.

Mary Delaney, loads of buds and a few have opened.

An unknown red patio rose, that I’ve had for years. Out of all my roses this is the one I don’t really look after. When I prune it I hack it almost down to nothing but every year it bounces back.

For Your Eyes Only, an interesting combination of pink and red with apricot and salmon tones. (It reminds me of the Dahlia Waltzing Matilda.)

@Bluejayway .. you were lucky to get one as it's sold out.. I think I prefer the faded colour.

              Lots of lovely roses today..
..this is 'Forever Royal'.. scented, purple and semi double with stamens... about 5 x 5' floribunda..

I agree about the faded colour @Mrs Hillard , nice and soft. Should think the freshest flowers will really stand out when there’s a few of them

Is there a thread to talk about roses? Care etc? I don’t really want images only.

@Debs64 if you just click on Roses in the line that starts with Home, you'll see plenty of rose discussions re care

A lot of those threads are closed? Would it be possible to expand this thread to discuss general rose care and chat about roses? Or do I need to start a new thread? Don’t want to overwhelm people, and I am no expert just wanted to see a few photos and chat

I would like to see that too, to include a bit of chat about the photographed roses as well.

Yes it would be interesting to hear stories about the lovely roses, reasons for choosing them or reminiscing about when they were bought. Also I want to discuss greenfly or black spot issues as well as general care. If others don’t approve I will start a separate thread but it seems a shame. Any sign of Marlorena on here? She was the expert so knowledgeable and full of excellent advice.

@Debs64 Marlorena is still here but under a different name on this site. I thought I'd mentioned it on WhatsApp. I don't want to give the name without her permission.
