Nice ones, Mike! I'm a great fan of aquilegias too - although I don't know their names for the most part, just love the leaves!

Particularly like your cistus too - I used to see lots around Hemel when I lived there, and have planted a few up here too!

 

We have a white cistus too, but that is nearly over, just a few blooms remaining. I find them a bit invasive unless cut back hard after flowering.

It's a white one I've got - and I ahve seeds for lots more!! I particularly like the leaves, and the papery-like petals. They were used as a sort of hedging plant around council house groups in Hemel, so I can believe they might well be rather invasive (that was the pink-flowered ones)
